Sport-locker.net were absolutely gripped to the British Open last night as somehow Ernie Els came from nowhere to overhaul Adam Scott’s lead to secure the Claret Jug.

So whilst golf is still in the forefront of everyone’s minds, we thought we’d bring you some gold news on this fine summer morning!

Because PUMA Golf has announced that Ian Poulter’s Tour performance shoe will be available to consumers in early August.

The Neo Classic ProType is a brand new style that PUMA Golf developed for Ian Poulter to wear on Tour and will be available in limited quantities in two color options: Black/White and White/Black.

The Neo Classic ProType features PUMA Golf’s S2C Pro Chassis, Carbon Fiber Shank and ArchTec medial support; this combination provides the golfer with control, stability and power.

The outsole features S2Quill Spikes with Performance INSert System (PINS) along with 130 S2Quill traction quills and 50 moulded spikes.

The replaceable and moulded spikes are directionally moulded to ensure maximum grip and superior traction while the PINS system provides improved balance, feel and lateral stability by bringing the golfer closer to the ground.

Along with the spikes, the outsole features a full length flex groove as well as 10 forefoot flex grooves and 4 heel flex grooves for improved flexibility during your swing and while walking the course.

The Neo Classic ProType will be available in select golf retailers and pro shops in early August and will retail for $230. For more information on PUMA Golf, visit www.puma.com/golf.
