Here at sport-locker.net we like to think of ourselves as tidy footballers and secretly hold on to schoolboy dreams of catching England manger Roy Hodgson’s eye and playing for England one day.

The reality is very different however and consequently  we need all the help we can get simply not to embarrass ourselves when we stumble on to the pitch.

Thankfully Puma and Manchester United star Michael Carrick have teamed up to produce this handy video to demonstrate the art of Protecting the Back Four.

This includes how to use quick feet to make an interception and how to kid a player into believing space exists for a pass for you to then cut it out and take possession.
