Ahead of the huge Premier League match between Arsenal and Manchester United this weekend – Nike have Twitterised (that’s a new word made up from Twitter and customised put together) these football boots for their stars.
Sport-locker.net can reveal that the Gooner trio of Theo Walcott, Wojciech Szczesny and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain as well as United’s Rio Ferdinand have all had the #makeitcount hashtag embroidered onto their boots as well as their Twitter names or initials.
And here they are:
Launched on Twitter over New Year’s Eve, athletes including Mo Farah, Mark Cavendish, Paula Radcliffe and Dai Greene pledged how they plan to make this year count under the hashtag #makeitcount.
Rio Ferdinand (@rioferdy5) pledged: ‘More to Learn. Plenty to teach.’
Whilst Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain (@Alex_OxChambo) opted for: ‘2012 is all about turning potential into performance – every single day.’
Walcott isn’t on Twitter so he’s just gone for his initials!
This weekend gives both players and their team mates a great chance to prove that 2012 will be the year they Make It Count!
So who’s going to win the crunch tie at the Emirates on Sunday? We’d 8-2 pick a winner…..
What would your #makeitcount be? Let us know in the comments section below or on our Twitter and Facebook pages.
