So the new Nike T90 Laser IV has finally been released, and soon you will no doubt see goals being banged in from all areas of the pitch thanks to the new powerhouses!
And one man is no stranger to scoring with spectacular strikes – Manchester United’s Wayne Rooney, whom Sir Alex Ferguson dubbed the ‘white Pele’ earlier this week.
But who can blame him after that spectacular overhead kick against Manchester City last season – the ‘perfect strike’ some might say?
And Sport-locker.net is proud to present the boots’ most prolific ambassador, re-enacting his most memorable goal from last season in this cool viral.
The video features high definition slow motion capture of the strike with technical call outs around the new T90 boot including the adaptive shield which enhances natural power and accuracy with swerve zones providing friction to curve shots.
Today’s striker capitalizes on that one opportunity that comes his way during a game and buries the ball in the back of the net.
Be it a long range screamer, close range effort or perfectly struck free-kick or penalty – they all count for a predatory striker.
A perfect strike that combines technical brilliance with seamless timing to turn a game.
As if that awesome Nike video wasn’t enough, we’ve also got a behind-the-scenes vid of the shoot for you. Don’t say we don’t treat you readers!
And it’s clear that Wazza thinks highly of the boots:
“When you strike a ball, you need to, you know, be comfortable. Nothing goes through your mind I don’t think. You’re just trying to hit the back of the net.
“I think as a football player your boots are so important. There’s a lot of force going through your feet.
“Your boots need to be able to support your feet. Making sure you get the right connection and, you know, putting it where you want it.
“I’m really impressed with the new adaptive shield. Just on your instep. You manage to generate a lot more spin with the ball because of it.
“It’s great for, obviously, forwards and players shooting and it makes it a little bit more hard for the goalkeepers.
“It doesn’t matter whether it is the winning goal or to make it five-nil, whether its inside, outside the box. A goal is still a goal for a forward and nine times out of ten I’ll probably shoot.”
