Another week of Premier League action and that means another week of goals, assists and Fantasy Football Boots brought to you exclusively by Sport-locker.net.
As a little reminder for you…
Each week, Sport-locker.net will keep a running table of which boots are scoring the most goals and which are making the most assists as well as collating the two to reveal the Premier League’s most prolific and most creative football boot.
Three points will be rewarded for each goal scored while there is one on offer for every assist.
Very much like week 10 of the Premier League, it was business as usual at the top of the fantasy football boot table.
Another fantastic week for the adidas f50 adizero, which included nine goals and seven assists, led to the speed boot claiming a huge 34 points, further cementing its place at the summit of the table.
But it wasn’t until the latter part of the gameweek when the points began to flow for the adizero. Gareth Bale’s brace on Sunday followed by Demba Ba’s hat-trick on Monday night meant that the boot extended its lead by nine points.
And as per most weeks, the speed boot was closely challenged by its elderly cousin, the adiPower Predator.
The game of the weekend had to be the 5-3 epic at Stamford Bridge where an adiPower wearing Robin Van Persie scored an emphatic hat-trick to ensure yet another good week for adidas’ power/control cleat.
A further four goals from Petrov, Allen, Dzeko and Adam, as well as a quadruple of assists meant that the preds scored a more than respectable 25 points.
And it clearly looks like the Champions League positions are already taken, with Nike’s duo of the CTR360 Maestri II and Mercurial Vapor III battling it out for third place.
The Vapor is slowing clawing its way back. Five goals (Mata, Johnson, Walcott, Dempsey and Sinclair) and six assists sealed an impressive 21 point haul.
As for mid-table, it was a great week for the Umbro family, with three of its silos getting on the scoresheet. Goals from Terry and Carroll (Speciali), Holt and Graham (Stealth II) and Wickham (GT Pro) made for a great week for the classic brand.
PUMA didn’t do too shabby either, with its King Finale and v1.11 boots accumulating 12 points.
The most unusual boot of the weekend had to be that of Stoke City’s Jonathan Walters. Calling all Sport-locker.net readers – can you name the boot he hammered home the penalty in?
