Premier League Fantasy Football Boots 2011/12: Week 17

Another week of Premier League action and that means another week of goals, assists and Fantasy Football Boots brought to you exclusively by

As a little reminder for you…

Each week, will keep a running table of which boots are scoring the most goals and which are making the most assists as well as collating the two to reveal the Premier League’s most prolific and most creative football boot.

Three points will be rewarded for each goal scored while there is one on offer for every assist.

Santa always delivers a sackful of goals for our collective enjoyment on boxing day doesn’t he?

This year however we must have all been bad boys and girls with only 19 scored in the first round of post Christmas fixtures.

Three of which came from the right adidas Predator boot of Dimitar Berbatov who helped Manchester United to a festive 5-0 romp of Wigan Athletic at Old Trafford.

Boot of the Gameweek prize goes to Nike’s Mercurial Vapor with five goals and three assists making for an 18 point haul.

Goals came from Juan Mata, Clint Dempsey, Steven Fletcher, Gervinho and Hatem Ben Arfa with Luka Modric, Gabriel Obertan and Yossi Benayoun providing the assists.

Goal of the weekend goes to adidas and the F50 adiZero of Gareth Bale whose powerful run and dinky chip finish made a mockery of both the Norwich City defence and goalkeeper John Ruddy as Tottenham Hotspur ran out 2-0 winners at Carrow road.

On a day when the big boys of the football boot world dominated, wildcard of the Gameweek goes to Danny Graham and his Umbro Stealth Pros with a neat finish to open the scoring for Swansea City in their 1-1 draw with Queens Park Rangers at the Liberty Stadium.

Find out how all the other boots are faring with the Fantasy Football Boots League Table. **
