Champions League football release: adidas Finale Munich is proud to present to you the official match ball for the 2012 UEFA Champions League final – the adidas Finale Munich.

With Champions League football returning to our screens last night many of you would have noticed the new football on the green stuff.

As the 12th adidas supplied match ball for a Champions League final, the adidas Finale Munich will be the first “final ball” to be used throughout the Champions League knockout stages and not just for the final itself.

And here’s some exclusive imagery!

The ball’s graphics are inspired by the shape of the Fußball Arena München and they incorporate its iconic starball logo design.

The blue and aqua tones are strongly influenced by the reflection of modern local architectural materials, which also build the Champions League Final Munich 2012 brand identity.

Certified with FIFA’s highest rating for footballs, this replica adidas Finale Munich Ball has a thermally bonded seamless surface and a grip texture for enhanced friction between ball and foot.

And there’s a shed load of technology packed into it:

  • Grip texture for enhanced friction between ball and boot
  • Thermally bonded seamless surface for a more predictable trajectory, better touch and lower water uptake
  • Highest FIFA rating
  • High-end materials for perfect on field performance; Star panel shape for perfect aerodynamics
  • 70% polyurethane / 30% leather (imitation)

The UEFA Champions League final takes place in Munich on Saturday 19 May. The Finale Munich Ball will set you back £82 and you can get one by clicking here!
