Run to the Beat powered by Nike+ returns to The O2 for its fifth instalment as London’s only Half Marathon set to music. On Sunday 28 October over 18,000 runners are expected to run the Docklands course where they will start and finish at North Greenwich with the main stage and party atmosphere in full swing for the morning send-off and finish line return.
Runners in previous years have been inspired to success by the beats from chart-topping headline acts such as Tinnie Tempah, Calvin Harris and Bashy, as well as Radio 1 DJs Reggie Yates, Annie Mac, Jaymo & Andy George, Ras Kwame, and Bobby Friction. This year’s event promises to continue its show-stopping success with more of the best DJ talent performing for both participants and spectators, provided in conjunction with our musical partner, City Showcase.
With sounds from the best in Urban, R’n’B, House, Hip Hop and Dancehall music, the festival worthy line-up will cut across all musical genres to keep runners motivated to the finish line. Alongside DJ Fresh will be MTV personality host Yemi Sawyerr, Nihal, Bobby Friction, Ras Kwame, Panjabi Hit Squad, Jaymo & Andy George, Jean Genie, Edit/Select (DJ Set), Ben Osborne, Dan Price, Hutch, DJ Scar, Drumline, Rhythms of the City, Boy Cloud Kid, Steven Howells and The Other Tribe DJ’s with more acts to be announced.
