Gael Clichy signs for Puma can today announce that Gaël Clichy has finally put an end to what boots he’s going to wear this season after officially signing a new partnership contract with PUMA!

The Manchester City left back will move into PUMA’s Speed silo, wearing the current evoSPEED 1FG boots for the first time in Manchester City’s UEFA Champions League match against Borussia Dortmund tonight.

Clichy commented on his newly signed contract: “I am glad to start this new partnership with PUMA. It is an exciting brand and my new boots are very comfortable, so I am confident to perform well wearing them during the upcoming season.

“With Yaya Touré and Sergio Aguero, two of my Manchester City team mates recently signing with PUMA as well, and I am thrilled to be part of the PUMA family.”

Clichy has enjoyed a long and illustrious career, winning the Premier League title for Arsenal and most recently with Manchester City.

His attacking mentality and pace make him the perfect player for the PUMA Speed silo, a boot that has been designed to support the players’ manoeuvrability and agility to help them perform at their best.  The French International joins Sergio Aguero, Falcao, Yaya Touré, Mario Gomez, Olivier Giroud, Ibrahim Afellay and many other international players to play in PUMA evoSPEED boots.

The PUMA evoSPEED 1 FG boot that Clichy will wear features the criteria of light, flex and fit. The upper features a soft and ultrathin microfiber material whilst stability is provided by the internal EverFit cage.

The anatomically engineered lightweight one-piece outsole provides stability and support, utilising high-tech materials to minimize weight and to maximize its flexibility and reactivity. The evoSPEED 1 FG features an external heel counter which secures an excellent heel fit and the new PUMA evoAptoLast which provides an industry leading fit.
