Sponsors pay for Kenilworth Road FA Cup broadcast!

Luton Town v Wolverhampton Wanderers - FA Cup Third Round

This email popped into the Sport-locker.net inbox today. The romance of the FA Cup is still alive people…

There will be 4,000 Luton Town supporters at a sell-out Carrow Road on Saturday but, thanks to Blue Square Bet, if you haven’t got a ticket you can watch the FA Cup tie against Norwich City at Kenilworth Road!

The generous league sponsors have paid for a live feed of the Hatters’ game to be screened on televisions in the bars inside the stadium after reaching an agreement with the FA, ITV and the Canaries!

Access to the bars to watch the tie is by ticket only and is absolutely free, however, these tickets must be obtained in advance in person at the ticket office or by calling 01582 416976. The ticket office will be open until 5pm on Friday, and tickets can be collected from the club shop between 9am-12 noon on Saturday.

If any tickets remain, they will be available on main reception from 12.15pm on Saturday. Any tickets reserved over the phone will be available for collection from main reception on the day.

Supporters can only access the bars from the main entrance in Maple Road. Refreshments will be available as will secure parking in the Maple Road West car park. Tickets for a car park space will cost £3 and will be available on a first come, first served basis from the ticket office in advance and if any remain, from the car park entrance on the day.

Town boss Paul Buckle told lutontown.co.uk: “It’s a fantastic offer from Blue Square Bet and one which is going to be really appreciated by those supporters who cannot get to Carrow Road.

“We could have sold thousands of more tickets for the tie, but Blue Square’s generosity means that many of those fans who missed out on tickets will have the opportunity to watch the game live.”
