As part of adidas Samba pack launch, Sport-locker.net were invited along to a couple of exciting photoshoots (we even got to take part in one of them!) and here’s what Norwich City and f50 wearer Nathan Redmond had to say when we grabbed a quick word with him:
This is the first Premier League season for you, how are you finding the step up from the Championship?
NR: I have enjoyed the step up and the challenge I am learning and developing every day, a lot of players have to adjust but coming from the Championship – it’s been tough but think I have done ok.
What are the biggest differences you have experienced?
I think the pace and quality of players. You can be punished for one bad decision, so your concentration has to be 100% throughout the whole game.
Who has been your toughest opponent so far?
Kyle Walker. It was a good experience for me getting that defensive side to my game, in terms of staying with the full-back all the way but I think I dealt with him quite well.
We are here for the new Adidas Samba collection, what do you think of the new Samba f50s?
I think they’re good, I wait for a boot to come out and don’t know how they can make it any better; but this one feels comfortable after wearing it today. They feel a bit like slippers!
Wearing the f50s is a lightweight boot, how important is that to your game?
It makes it quite easier to run past players, as I am a flair player the lightweight boot allows me to be more mobile. It’s much better for wingers and forwards.
You have played on the left and right and occasionally behind the striker. Do you have a preferred position?
I’d say on the right, as I’ve played there my whole life. But playing other positions gives me a more well-rounded approach to my game.
Stay tuned to Sport-locker.net as we bring you more player interviews in the coming days…
