And to celebrate their status as the Official Beer and Cidre for The Open Championship, Stella Artois has partnered with Ian Poulter a golfer at the pinnacle of his game – the result is a truly impressive showcase of his skill!

Top British golfer Ian Poulter, set out to demonstrate a host of trick shots in front of a discerning golf crowd, when he attempted to skim the head of a beer from a watching fan.

Ian’s full swing skimmed the top of the Chalice perfectly, mirroring one of the key steps of the Stella Artois pouring ritual. The ritual is designed to improve the drinking experience.

The visually stunning moment was captured on a slow motion camera and the results are breathtaking, with the perfect beer skim captured at 5,000 frames per second.
