Tottenham Hotspur and Under Armour have this morning launched the club’s new kits for the 2016/17 season live on Facebook – a first for the Premier League side, Sport-locker.net are delighted to reveal.
The 15-minute live show was streamed direct from the club’s state-of-the-art Training Centre in Enfield prior to training and featured Christian Eriksen, Victor Wanyama, Michel Vorm and Kieran Trippier showcasing the new strips.
The first team will step out in the new designs for the first time when they head to Melbourne, Australia, to face Juventus and Atletico Madrid on July 26 and 29, respectively, as part of the club’s involvement in the International Champions Cup.
This year’s home shirt is dominated by the traditional white and navy blue of Tottenham Hotspur. The navy blue contrast is complemented by the gold trim on the v-neck along with the navy blue and gold details on the sleeves.
The official away shirt comes in navy blue with gold trim on the crew neck in addition to a golden triple loop motif on the sleeves, while the unique gold third shirt is detailed with navy blue pin stripes and features navy blue trim on the sleeves and v-neck.
The new goalkeeper home shirt sports a simple and stylish capri blue, while the away jersey is a vibrant burnt orange colour. Both strips include a crew neck design and feature a navy blue diagonal stripe on each sleeve.
Designed in Under Armour’s Innovation Lab in Baltimore, Maryland, the new 2016/17 shirts feature the brand’s latest technological innovations.
- Weighing just 107 grams and containing the brand’s quick-drying fabric alongside its signature Moisture Transport System, moisture is wicked away from the body to ensure players always stay dry.
- Lightweight fabric with built-in four-way stretch improves mobility and accelerates dry time, while strategic ventilation built into the shirt at key points where the body most commonly releases heat allows for optimum coolness, even in the harshest weather conditions.
The new Tottenham Hotspur and Under Armour performance apparel kits are available today for purchase from the Spurs official club website www.tottenhamhotspur.com/shop. The home and away kits will also be available via Under Armour’s retail site http://UA.com and select retailers on July 15.
Cutting-edge training wear has already been released and is available for purchase from the Spurs official website.
