Rugby apparel release: Canterbury launch Limited Edition ‘1871’ lifestyle collection

England rugby stars wearing the new '1871' collection from Canterbury can today unveil the brand new ‘1871’ capsule collection from Canterbury and the Rugby Football Union (RFU) – a premium lifestyle range inspired by the proud traditions of England Rugby.

With the limited edition collection’s name derived from the year that the RFU was inaugurated, it draws upon the history of the England kit and features a version of the famous red rose emblem inspired by the very first England shirts back in 1871.

Designed by Canterbury in England, the 1871 collection features traditional-style white rugby shirts and heritage anthem jackets in white and purple, reflecting England’s position as rugby royalty whilst complementing the brand new England change kit from Canterbury.

Combining rugby heritage with classic design, the premium nature of the range makes it the ideal lifestyle choice for those wishing to show their support and passion for England Rugby in true style.

Canterbury - Geoff Parling is announced as latest brand ambassador

What’s more, Canterbury has also today announced that England international, Geoff Parling, has become its latest ambassador after agreeing a four-year partnership with the leading rugby brand.

Parling commented: “I’m delighted to become an ambassador for such a world renowned rugby brand. The quality of the products and the traditional values of the company are something I’m excited to be involved with.”

The range will be available to pre-order from 9am on Thursday November 15th, before going on sale on November 17th ahead of England’s QBE International against Australia.
