David Beckham gave millions of his fans around the world an exclusive insight into his football career at an event broadcast live on Facebook from a central London studio.
The event, which coincided with the publication of his new book, reinvented the traditional book signing with David using cutting edge technology to bring together and allow him to personally talk to fans in Hyderabad, New York, and Sao Paulo and give them individual signatures. David also signed books in person for those in London.
Over the past ten days fans from around the world sent questions for their hero on Facebook which David answered in a live Q&A hosted by UK sport presenter, Jake Humphrey. He explained to fans that Roy Keane was the best captain he played under and that Zidane was his favourite player of all time.
Beckham revealed that after leaving Manchester United, his boyhood club, he couldn’t face watching them play for two years.
He also joked, that following the release of Sir Alex Ferguson’s book last week, he was no longer first choice to manage his future US Major League Soccer club.
The event was streamed live to David’s 30 million Facebook fans on his page. For anyone who missed the chance to watch the event live, go to facebooklive.com and watch it again to re-live the unique experience.
