Nike has launched the Terma-Sphere Max range. The range has been specially developed to allow athletes to maintain focus on their performance in the winter months, rather than worrying about thermal regulation.
Barry Spiering, the Director of Applied Apparel Research for the Nike Explore Team Sport Research Lab said that “when an athlete trains in cold temperatures without appropriate apparel, the body strives harder to maintain thermal balance, which impairs performance.”
Spiering and his team’s research have helped the brand to produce a range that features a three-layer composite material specifically designed to help keep the wearer warm, comfortable and dry without weighing them down.
