Premier League Fantasy Football Boots 2011/12: Week 7

Another week of Premier League action and that means another week of goals, assists and Fantasy Football Boots brought to you exclusively by

As a little reminder for you…

Each week, will keep a running table of which boots are scoring the most goals and which are making the most assists as well as collating the two to reveal the Premier League’s most prolific and most creative football boot.

Three points will be rewarded for each goal scored while there is one on offer for every assist.

After a relatively goal shy Saturday it was goals galore on Sunday with Chelsea putting five past hapless Bolton and Fulham hitting West London rivals Queens Park Rangers for six.

Sunday was a story of two hat-tricks making for a bumper afternoon for adidas.

A return to first team action and a return to goalscoring form for Frank Lampard which was good news for adiPURE who sneaked into sixth place ahead of Nike’s Tiempo.

Fulham striker Andy Johnson was the other man to add a match ball to his collection on Sunday which ensured that adidas f50 adizero maintained their lead at the summit.

Of course, Johnson wasn’t the only representative to register points for the runaway leader this weekend with Manchester City’s dynamic duo of David Silva (one assist) and Samir Nasri (one goal and two assists) chipping in as well as goals from Demba Ba and Luis Suarez.

It was very much a case of goals at first sight for Daniel Sturridge and the new Nike T90 Laser with the Chelsea hit man marking his debut outing in the boots with two goals and an assist at the Reebok Stadium.

But the real winner for Nike this weekend was the Mercurial Vapor which racked up a whopping 29 points with a whole host of contributions.

James Morrison, Nicklas Bendtner (plus assist), Ahamed Elmohamady, Gabriel Agbonlahor (plus assist), Adam Johnson, Steven Fletcher, Scott Sinclair and Clint Dempsey (plus assist) all hit the back of the net while there were also assists from Didier Drogba and Juan Mata.

To complete the Nike collection, there were average weekends for the Tiempo (five points) and the Maestri (12) with Danny Welbeck, Mario Balotelli and Rafael Van der Vaart among the goals and Park Ji Sung and David Luiz getting all creative.

Umbro enjoyed a good week with England strike duo Andy Carroll and Darren Bent staking their case for international call ups wearing Specialis.

Carroll registered his first of the season in the Merseyside derby while Bent put the gloss on a convincing victory for Aston Villa over Wigan Athletic.

Jonas Gutierrez also bagged a top goal whilst donning the Geometra Pros – capping off a brilliant weekend for Umbro.

Two new additions to the Fantasy Football League table this week with the Umbro GT Pro and the Mizuno Morelia registering their first goals of the season courtesy of Tottenham’s Kyle Walker and Stefan Savic of Manchester City respectively.

Bobby Zamora continues to represent Under Armour and their Hydrastrike well with a goal and two assists for Fulham in their demolition of neighbours QPR.
