The adverts have started. Sigh. The lights in the streets are being turned on. Bigger sigh.
But after Sport-locker.net received a festive hamper (of sporting goods), it proper feels like Christmas now!
We’ll take not having much of a social life in the next month or so as we’re beyond excited to be reviewing this lot…
Puma evoSPEED 1.2
A boot which has proved immensely popular amongst ballers Santi Cazorla, Sergio Aguero, Adam Lallana and most recently Mikel Arteta (who has moved from his beloved Kings) we’ve been trying to get our mitts on these for a while.
On first impression, we think these could be one of the best PUMA football boots ever created!
Warrior Skreamer Pro
Warriror are really trying to breakthrough into the mainstream football boot market, and with players like Vincent Kompany, Marouane Fellaini, Craig Bellamy and Tom Ince donning their boots they are going in the right direction.
We’ve already reviewed the Warrior Gambler and Skreamer K Pro but we can’t wait to see how the upper performs on these orange bad boys.
Hummel Celestial DK2X K-Leather
Hummel are making a comeback in the football boot world; news that was music to our ears!
These black and green boots scream retro and the kangaroo leather upper is a joy to touch.
We’re loving the green sole and studs too.
Hummel Rapid X
We absolutely love this colourway – there’s something about a white/red/blue combo that just works!
These are very similar to the Celestial DK2X but have a synthetic upper and could well be a surprise package.
And it’s not just football boots that will be keeping us busy during the festive period…
Nike Free Flyknit
All we can say about these is WOW. Wow, wow and more wow – we’ve never seen a running shoe as amazing as these Nike Free Flyknits.
Often we say football boots fit like a sock, but these genuinely do just feel like you’re putting on a pair of your favourite woollies!
We have slight concerns around the support of these but Nike have assured us that zones on the top of the foot have engineered stretch built to enable natural flex, while a tighter weave at the perimeter stabilises the forefoot and heel.
If these don’t get us off the sofa and running, nothing will!
Nike Lunarglide+ 5 Shield
We are really big fans of the Nike Lunarglide+ series having reviewed both the 3s and the 4s.
But these look extra special under the lights – the hi-vis animal print is absolutely rascal!
The Lunarglide+ 5 Shield are from the Nike Flash Pack – a reflective and water repellent line of shoes to keep runners protected from the elements.
Stay tuned to Sport-locker.net in the coming weeks as we review all of the above…
Ho ho ho everybody!
